The Hunger Games

Source

Me likey! Ha ha. Woke up even earlier and bought tickets online just in case it was sold out again by the time we got to the theater. When we got to the theater there was hardly anyone there, but it was a full house by the start of the movie. I saw several people ask other people if they could scoot down so their group could all sit together...I've never had the guts to ask someone that...I don't like talking to strangers...ha ha...stranger danger!!

Anyways back to the movie...

I haven't read any of the books in this series yet, so I went in knowing nothing which I loved! It's nice not having to sit there and compare every little aspect of the movie to the book. I thought it was cast really well. Even Lenny Kravitz did really well in his part. And Elizabeth Banks is unrecognizable, but so good! I'm pretty sure this was the first time I've ever seen Jennifer Lawrence and she was exceptional as Katniss Everdeen.

What I don't get is why they have promoted Liam Hemsworth (or Mr. Miley Cyrus) so much. He was in it for a whole 5 minutes maybe. I'm sure he has more to do with the other books, but that was just weird to me.

I have to say I'm really excited to see the other movies now. I'm debating if I want to try and read the books first or not.

Have you seen the movie or read any of the books? Are you going to do either if you haven't?
