Midnight in Paris

Source
This movie was slow...ugh. I honestly don't see how it was competing for an Oscar. But anyways...if you are a fan of old school artist, writers and musicians (and I mean old...i.e. Picasso, Hemingway and Fitzgerald) then you might like this movie.

Owen Wilson plays a character who is in love with Paris and wishes he could have lived there back in the 20's and in the rain. Rachel McAdams plays his fiance (first of all they don't look right together so that bugged me) who is a very high maintenance, annoying and materialistic person and she doesn't understand his infatuation with it all. All of a sudden he gets pulled into the 20's and you don't know if it's for "real" or if he's dreaming. It's all very weird. Then you see him wake up in his bed back in the present day. He becomes obsessed with going back to be with all those famous people and  I guess in a way it helps his character figure out what he wants. So I guess the message of the movie is a good one to follow...Be Who You Truly Are.

Anyways...there you have it...has anyone else seen this movie? Did you like it? Or did you fall asleep like my mom did?

I did see this one and I liked it except for Rachel McAdams' character. I thought they made her ridiculous. And not that it's important, but I hated every outfit they put her in...what was with the unflattering low-slung belts? Haha, anyway...it was slow but I enjoyed all the parts that took place in the 20s. Adam ended up liking it ok.
