Day Dreamer
What do I do?? Well Monday through Friday I keep track of the money honey so we can all get paid...ha ha.
But every day of my life I day dream! I day dream about...
...where my next vacation is going to be
...what project I want to do next
...what dessert I want to make
...what outfit I want to try and rock
...how easily I think my life could be turned into a soap opera or movie
...how fun a puppy would be (until it peed on my stuff)
...how I would re-decorate things
...what it would be like to be retired (ha ha still have way too many years before that)
and much much more!
What do you day dream about???

Current Favorites
Happy Cinco de Mayo! I hope everyone will be enjoying some fabulous Mexican food today...I know I will be...I might even be making a yummy treat so all my work peeps better be ready!
Today's post is supposed to be about professing your love for a blogger friend. Seeing as how all my blogger friends were my friends IRL before we started blogging I thought I would share my current favorite reads instead.
My top 3 favorite reads right now include:
1. Peanut Butter Fingers (pbfingers.com)
Julie posts really great workouts that you've probably seen me link to on my workout recaps. Each workout really challenges me and keeps me motivated. She always seems so upbeat which always makes for a good read. She also has a super cute dog named Sadie.
2. Sweet Tooth Sweet Life (sweettoothsweetlife.com)
Courtney is another workout guru. She also posts some delicious recipes including but not limited to my new favorite Blondie recipe. In her blog title, part of her slogan says "there's always room for dessert!" Those are words I live by every day of my life!! She also posts some pretty good workouts as well.
3. Blogilates (blogilates.com)
Cassey posts tons of great workout videos! I even bought her pop-pilates dvd which really makes your buns and abs burn. Being able to see her become out of breath just like us normal people is really encouraging to me. She's very energetic and bubbly throughout each and every workout. She also has a monthly workout schedule that she sends out through e-mail.
I know the three blogs I listed above are all workout blogs, but they are also much more than that. They post about events they attend and every day activities.
As for my blogger friends, I just want to tell them thank you for being there to listen to me everyday and for getting me into blogging.

My Top 5 Most Uncomfortable Situations
Let's see if you will be able to tell what type of person I am based on the following list...
5. During my school days...first day of class...I hated not knowing if I would know anyone in my class/who would I sit with/who would sit by me
4. Meeting new people
3. Going to an event (dinner, party, wedding, etc.) and only knowing the host(s) who will also have to talk to other people
2. Running into someone I haven't see in years and not really remembering who they are (last time it happened was on a jog in my parents neighborhood)
...and finally...drum roll please my...my #1 most uncomfortable situation...
1. Having to use the restroom when I'm not at my own home!
There you have it. Did you guess introvert?? You would be correct. I hide in my little shell until I really get to know you. And even when you are my best friend, you must respect my bubble...in other words no touchy touchy...ha ha.

My life in 250 words and Life on less sleep
Yesterday several bloggers that I follow started the blog everyday in May challenge. While I'm always up for a challenge, I wasn't quite sure I wanted to participate in this one. After giving it some thought, I decided I would give it a shot. So I may be a day late (and a dollar short), but technically I did post yesterday...so here goes nothin'!
Day 1 - My life in 250 words
I was born and raised in the great state of Texas. I lived in the same house my whole life (minus the 4 years of college) until early last year when I finally got a place of my own. My naturally curly hair and I started taking ballet, tap and jazz at the ripe ol’ age of 3. I continued dancing through high school and was on the high school drill team. I stopped for 3 years until I decided to become a hip hop teacher my last year of college. Throughout my childhood I was also involved in piano lessons (8 years), basketball (5 years), a father daughter camping group (elementary thru freshman year of high school), tennis lessons and horseback riding lessons. Weekends during the summers were spent at the lake where my brother and I would try and throw each other off the jet skis. I attended college up in the hill country and graduated with a degree in finance. I also received my scuba certification and scored an expert rating on my golf final while up there. I have worked at the same place and at the same desk for the last 5 years. I met my boyfriend of almost 4 years at work and it all started from an e-mail I sent him about the Astros. I’m a TV addict and a movie buff...always have been, always will be. These days my daily routine consists of work, working out and catching up on TV shows.
Day 2 - Something I'm good at - Life on less sleep
If I told you I have to wake up at 6 am everyday to make it to work by 7 am, what time would you think I would hit the hay?? 9 pm? Maybe even 10 pm? You would be wrong! I'm usually hopping in the shower around 10 or 10:30 pm and lights out around 11 or 11:30 pm. Sadly some nights are even later. Why so late you might ask? Well like I said in my 250 words up there...I love TV. As of right now, I have 23 shows I watch through out the week. So yeah...I might stay up a little too late watching them, but oh well...ha ha. But here's how I manage everything...
1. Drink a hot cup of Ginger Peach tea in the morning, followed by a cup of green tea.
2. When you start to fall asleep at your desk, go roam around or tell you co-worker to slap you awake (ok maybe not slap)
3. Once 4 o'clock hits no more caffeine...you do want to be able to fall asleep that night
4. When you get home...celebrate by going to the gym. If at all possible, do not lay on the couch because you will fall asleep.
5. After your workout, your body should be energized enough to make it to 10 pm and tired enough to fall asleep fast and hard.
There you go...how to go to bed late and wake up early. Now on the weekends feel free to sleep how ever long you'd like...maybe even until noon :)

The People I've Encountered at the Gym
The overly friendly Russian
This guy, bless his heart, is a talker. He comes in and wants to talk for at least 10 minutes even if you are in the middle of a workout. He will tell you about his daughter that he goes clubbing with and then invite you to try out hot yoga with him...which you will politely decline.
The lady who thinks she owns the place
This lady will come in and change the radio station you were listening to and turn it to one she wants. She will also turn off the radio and turn on the TV when it's time for her show to start. Don't you dare try and change anything because she will stare you down.
The two guys who listen to death metal on the loudest possible setting
These guys are always by the weights grunting and sweating trying to see how much they can lift that day...all while listening to the scariest music possible. This music is also so loud you can't hear your own music coming through your headphones.
The lady who sings
This lady will put the radio on an old school country or spanish station and while walking on the treadmill she will start to sing (loudly) along with the song. One day she will also ask you for workout tips on how to get rid of back fat which will make you feel in shape/important :)
The girl who is just there to make her pony tail swing
You will only see this girl maybe 2 or 3 times, but each time she will be moving just enough to make her pony tail swing. You never see her lift a weight or break a sweat, but she looks in shape. Maybe pony tail swinging burns more calories than it looks.
The older gentlemen who laughs and makes random sounds
This older man will randomly laugh or make weird sounds. It will start to make you curious as to what he is listening to...is it comedy or is there something funny happening over by the elliptical machines. You will never know...
The people who take up machines while doing nothing productive
These people will sit down on a machine and either take a phone call (go outside buddy), start watching the tv (you can watch and move your arms at the same time) or sit there and text (I'm pretty sure you can do something productive while waiting for a text back)
Kids
Oh the kids are the worst. The gym rules state if you are not 16 you are not allowed in there without an adult. However, these kids (probably jr. high age) will some how make their way in and play tag, take their shoes off, jump on the equipment and just flat out annoy you!! You will want to punch them in the face, but you won't because you don't want to go to jail...ha ha.
***side note...I'm not a member of any particular gym. I just go to the small gym at my apartment complex***
