I met J.R. Towles last night!!!!!!
Ok so he’s not a huge celebrity, but he’s famous to me!
B and I went to Genghis Grill after his softball games and Towles was in line in front of us…ahhhhh! And get this…little ol’ shy me struck up a conversation…oh yeah!!
He’s was really cool and he even waited for B to go get a baseball out of his car for him to sign with a sharpie I just happened to have in my purse…woo hoo!
You probably won’t see him on TV much these days, as he was sent back down to AAA in OKC since Quintero is back…booooooo
Now…if only I could run into Pence…he he he

Party Rock Anthem Shuffle
So my bother decided I should be able to watch this video by LMAFO (that I've never seen before) ONCE and be able to teach him the shuffle!! And he wanted me to do this at 10:30 at night when I had to go to work the next day!! Crazy boy! At least he has confidence in me right?!?!
Needless to say I didn't learn it that night or try to the following 2 weeks. However, I finally decided I wanted to learn it...well ok I saw him trying to do it in the kitchen so I figured I'd learn it to give him a helping hand...ha ha...ok so maybe I thought it looked fun too...ha ha
Anyways, I found a tutorial on youtube and started shufflin' away. Once I had it I decided to watch myself dance it in the mirror...I'm sad to report that I think I've lost some of my mojo from my teaching days where I spent 5 hours a week teaching kids how to do this stuff...ha ha...still had fun though and if you do it over and over again it's a good workout since it's fast.
p.s. The shuffle starts around 3:40 in the video...I think

More Cards
Made these cards a while back using my Wild Card Cartridge and my Cricut machine.
Made the above Thank You card for the lovely Erica (that's why there's an E on the card) who helped out with a bridal shower at my house.
Made this card for the honoree of the shower who is now a wife!! Like I said made these a while ago.
This was for the same Bride to be/now wife at her second shower. The heart at the top of the cake cut out just kind of fell together (literally!) I had cut out the squiggly things and set them aside and realized they made a heart! What a nice coincidence!!

Oyster Crackers (seasoned)
Whipped up some of these bad boys over the weekend…yay! They are soooo addicting and quite delicious. They are super easy to make(unless you get stale crackers it’s pretty hard to mess up) and takes no time at all.
The recipe is from Hidden Valley and you can find it here and you can also look at all the other ideas of how to use the seasoning mixture.
I pretty much know the recipe by heart and skip putting everything in a bag to mix it all up (why dirty up a perfectly good bag) and just mix it in the baking pan. The one variation that I know of for these, per my Mimi, is not to bake them. Really it’s a matter of preference…I prefer baked but they are good either way.
Hope you make them too and enjoy!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon
B and I saw the new Transformers movie today in the new XD (extreme digital) theater in 3D! I usually don't go to 3D movies b/c I feel like the glasses are really distracting and that so far the movies that I've seen aren't that impressive in 3D.
However, we are so glad we saw this one in 3D. I guess they've really stepped their game up. I actually felt like things were popping off the screen!
If you like the 2 previous Transformers, you'll like this one as well (like me!). If you liked the first one, thought the second was ok...you should give the 3rd one a try...just saying.

4th of July Ribbon Wreath and Tree
This has been the first year my Mom and I have decorated for every holiday and it has been so much fun putting everything together.
For the 4th of July I decided to make a ribbon wreath and a ribbon tree after seeing these super cute ones made on She's Kinda Crafty and Tatertots and Jello.
Here is my finished wreath...
I used 11 different ribbon rolls and cut about 16 strips of each ribbon 4.5 inches long and sewed them into loops (my mom helped with the sewing). Then I wrapped the wreath (I used a 10 inch wreath form) in 15 ft of ribbon and went to town pinning all the loops on. And that's it!
For the ribbon tree (inspired by this one from She's Kinda Crafty), I used the left over ribbon from the wreath (cut the same way, minus the sewing) and pinned them on a styrofoam cone. However, I forgot to take pictures of this process...my bad.
I plan on making more of both of these things AND I already have the supplies to start my Halloween wreath...just have to find the time.
Hope you enjoy and maybe get a little inspired yourself. They are so much fun to make and look at!!
