Well to get this first picture was an adventure...
Before taking this picture I decided I wanted to take a golf cart ride with my boyfriend (aka B) and that I wanted to check the mail while I was out. Simple enough right...
Well I go to check the mail and realized I picked up the wrong mailbox keys and I left my camera in the house. Kind of hard to take a picture without a camera...
So we go back to the house and I remembered that I forgot to lock the back door. So as I'm getting the right set of keys and my camera I remembered to lock both doors this time. As I go to set the keys (house key and mailbox key) in a cup holder, I notice that I don't have the house keys anymore, but I have two sets of mailbox keys! Fun...
At this point I use B's phone (mine is locked in the house) to call my Dad, to see if we have a spare somewhere. We do, however, it wasn't there. I'm searching the ground, pulling up weeds trying to find this key...just in case it had fallen out. NO KEY. B says we can try to break the lock if my parents are okay with the idea...
I convince my Mom to convince my Dad that there may be a chance we can still use the lock after we get inside the house. B had his lock broken before (locking yourself out of the house is more common than I thought) and they are still using the same lock and it works perfectly fine...
B finds our pliers and breaks the door knob off! We thought we were really screwed, but he takes a flat head screw driver and gets the door open. He broke the lock and was inside in less than 2 minutes!! We were extremely happy! I would not have had very happy parents if they had to drive all the way up to the lake just to let us back in the house...
So once we know that we can get back into the house we continue with our original plan and take our golf cart ride down to the marina where my picture was taken.
