Breaking Dawn 2, Skyfall and The Amazing Spiderman

{source}
Well the time has finally come...the Twilight Saga is officially over. While these weren't the best movies, I still enjoyed them all. I have to say I think this last one, Breaking Dawn part 2, was my favorite. I thought it had more humor in it and I loved that they added the fight scene. The fight scene may have made the teen girl next to me cry and the two women in front of me cry as well, but I thought it was a good move to add it to the story. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can complete my collection :)

I'm going to have to go on a rant real quick... Why? Why would you bring a baby to see this movie?? Or to a movie at all?? Sure you may think they will be quiet, but of course they won't. I'm sorry, but the movie theater is no place for an infant. Especailly on opening weekend of a movie you know has been sold out across the country. If you want to see the movie that bad, I would suggest asking someone to watch your child so that you don't get death stares by every other theater goer when your baby won't stop crying or laughing! Anyways...

Bond, James Bond. Loved this movie. Didn't love that it was 2 hours 25 mins, but once the movie started I didn't really notice how long it was. I don't want to give anything away, but I will say they did a good job setting up for more to come! I really hope Daniel Craig stays Bond for at least one more. I like the way he says the one liners :)

I watched this on the plane coming home from SF. I liked this Spiderman more than any of the others. Maybe it was the new story line, or because I like Emma Stone as an actress or maybe it's because I think Tobey Mcguire and Kirsten Dunst had zero chemistry. Whatever the reason, I liked it and will probably try and see the next one in the theater (2014).

Falling Leaves Caramel Apple

Learned a few things when making these caramel apples...

1. I can't put sticks in straight
2. Caramel dries super fast
3. If you want the sprinkles to stick, you have to press them on
4. When it tells you to butter your wax paper DO IT! The wax paper will stick to the caramel leaving you with 5 apples you can't share with your co-workers :(

SF: Muir Woods and Muir Woods Beach Overlook (Day 4 Part 2)

Our tour guide described these trees as the basketball players of trees...
Farallon Islands in the Pacific
Muir Woods Beach Overlook
This area is home to quite a few Great White Sharks...sadly we didn't see any
"Gopher hole" back in the day soldiers would hide in these with their guns ready for action
We were able to see the sun setting over the GGB on our way back to SF on the ferry
I hope you enjoyed the recap of my trip San Francisco! If you thought this was a photo overload, you would be wrong I could have posted all 533 pictures!! You're welcome!

SF: The Painted Ladies, GGB and Marin Headlands (Day 4 Part 1)

The Painted Ladies as seen on the intro to Full House, but not where the Full House house is
Alamo Square...the name of the park in front of the Painted Ladies
If you ever go, this is the street they are down...that way you won't have to walk around the entire park like us ha ha
Ahhh...our daily transportation. I was so happy our cab drive told us about these...I think my legs would have fallen off from all the walking in non-walking shoes...ha ha.
This is the Mrs. Doubtfire house. We passed by it on a tour bus on our way to Muir Woods
Clock at the entrance on to the GGB
Driving over the Golden Gate Bridge!!!
Our first stop on our way to Muir Woods was the Marin Headlands!
It was such a clear day you could see everything!

SF: Original Cable Car and Chinatown (Day 3 part 2)

After Alcatraz I was pretty hungry, so I stopped by the Boudin bakery to get the famous bread bowl with clam chowder! Yummy!!

I didn't get to ride the cable car like DJ Tanner, but I did stand on the back to enjoy all the views :)

So this is Lombard Street aka the crookedest street in America...and this is the only picture I have of it...ha ha. We were riding the cable car up to Chinatown and decided not to get off here and would just jump off on the way back to see it. However, we ended up on the other cable car that didn't stop at Lombard Street :( We planned on going back the next day, but by the time we were done with everything else we had planned we ran out of daylight...oh well...I technically saw it ha ha.

SF: Alcatraz (Day 3 part 1)

Alcatraz!!! This was probably my favorite tour of the trip and the one I looked forward to the most. If you ever plan on going, book it early! I would have loved to taken the night tour (especially on Halloween), but it was sold out for weeks! I think I ended up booking our tour 2 weeks in advance. Every tour includes audio and is narrated by former correctional officers and former inmates...

"Break the rules and you go to prison, break the prison rules and you go to Alcatraz"

On the ferry going to "The Rock"
Guard tower
Indians were the first people to inhabit the island
Isolation
Another isolation unit
The keys the inmates were trying to take from the correctional officers during the bloodiest escape attempt
Typical cell
The dummy heads the three inmates who escaped used to fool the guards
The hole the three inmates chiseled using spoons according to the legend
The pipes the three inmates had to climb to get to the roof
Recreational yard
